Check out the recording and the slides from the CBO/CDOT Telecommunications Infrastructure Strategic Plan Overview webinar from April 25, 2018. In case you missed it, here is a brief overview of the Infrastructure Plan:
The Colorado Broadband Office (CBO) is teaming up with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) to develop a long-term strategic plan for telecommunications infrastructure. The plan, which will look at both the wired and wireless needs within our state, has three main objectives:
- Identify the existing assets that are owned and managed by the state;
- Look at future demand drivers to understand where additional infrastructure is needed; and
- Develop mechanisms to support the investment necessary to deploy new infrastructure.
Both CDOT and the CBO will work to maximize the utility of existing fiber and tower assets, and make recommendations for the long-term beneficial use of those assets.
